A piece made from your story.

Some memories call for a form that doesn't already exist.

Bespoke ōlim pieces are created in collaboration with you - shaped around the animal you loved, the memories you shared, and the objects or places that hold meaning. Together, we create something entirely personal to you.

Made from what matters

Your piece might begin with something very small.

A stone from a favourite beach.
A shell found on a walk.
A fragment of a beloved object.
A piece of existing jewellery.
A photograph, memory or story.
A small amount of ashes or fur.

These things can become part of the creative process, informing the form, texture or casting of your piece. Through lost wax carving and sand sand casting, I transform these personal references into a piece of jewellery made to be held close.

We create it together

The bespoke process begins with a conversation. You share your story and what you would like the piece to hold. From there, we explore the possibilities together, discussing materials, forms, stones and the way you would like the finished piece to feel.

Sometimes the starting point is very clear. Sometimes we discover the form along the way. My role is to translate what matters to you into a piece that feels truly yours.

What we might create

A stone with a story
A pendant or ring designed around a particular stone — perhaps one you've carried for years or found somewhere meaningful.

A natural form
A shell, seed, pebble, leaf or other small object can become the starting point for a sculptural casting.

Something they loved
An object associated with your animal can inspire its shape, texture or symbolism.

A piece to carry them with you

Ashes, fur or another small material connection can be incorporated into the casting process, creating a physical connection within the finished piece.

Something entirely new

You don't need to arrive with an idea. Sometimes the most meaningful pieces emerge simply from telling the story.

A slower kind of making

Every bespoke piece is made by hand in my studio on the Far South Coast of Australia. I work primarily through lost wax carving and casting, allowing the marks of the hand and the natural character of the materials to remain visible. There is no catalogue of predetermined designs here. The piece begins with you.

The process

01 — Share your story
Tell me about your animal, your memories and what you would like the piece to hold.

02 — Explore
We'll discuss your ideas, materials and possibilities and begin shaping the direction of the piece.

03 — Create
I'll develop the form through wax, casting and hand finishing, sharing progress with you along the way.

04 — Carry it forward
Your finished piece becomes something tangible to keep close — a small physical reminder of a love that continues.

Begin a Bespoke Piece

If there is something you would like to make in memory of, or in connection with, an animal you have loved, I'd love to hear your story. You don't need to know exactly what you want yet. Tell me what you're carrying.

A small note

Bespoke pieces begin at $200

Each piece is individually quoted depending on the complexity of the design, materials and casting involved.

For pieces incorporating ashes, fur or other personal materials, I will provide careful instructions for preparing and sending them before we begin.
